11/3/2009	Varsity Cedar Run District Semifinal 1-3 L @ #2 Heritage-Leesburg Varsity finishes the season at 13-7 (4-5). Congrats on a 6th straight semifinal appearance, a 4th straight winning season, and seniors- a good vball career (& beyond!)

10/31/2009	JV West End Classic 1-2 L vs Powhatan 2-0 W vs Maggie Walker 2-1 W vs Manchester 2-0 W vs Midlothian Congrats to Mimi Ampomah for All-Tournament! JV finishes the season 13-6 (6-2). Good job ladies!!

10/29/2009	Heritage-Leesburg Pride Varsity (13-6, 4-4) 2-3... it's not over yet! What a rivalry! #3 seed in the district tournament... JV (10-5, 6-2) 2-1! Great #2 in the district finish! Freshmen (13-3, 5-1) 2-0! *Our freshmen team is the first-ever of our 3 programs to win a share of first place in the Cedar Run District to end the regular season! Way to go, Coach Potter & freshmen!

All-District Team

Congrats to Kelly Milione who got the highest number of votes EVER for a Battlefield Volleyball Player!!
Kelly made the FIRST TEAM All-District, qualifying her for the All-Region voting. She was third, behind player of the year OH Morgan Clark (Loudoun Valley) and OH Liann Bernett (Heritage).

Congrats also to Mikaela Whitaker for being named Second Team All-District Libero, to Nicole Doxsee and Alyssa Caudle for also making the Second Team All-District.

Finally, congrats to Bailey Liddle for making the Honorable Mention All-District.

Fall Sports Banquet

The Fall Sports Banquet will be on Tuesday, November 24 at 6pm.
Continuing our tradition from last season, all 3 teams, parents, friends are invited to the Enclosed Cafeteria for a potluck dinner. Please bring a main dish to share. After dinner, we will do our season speeches and awards (MVP, Coaches' awards, Most Improved, and senior recognitions).

Scrimmages

Hi BHS Fans-
All 3 teams improved over the evening @ Loudoun County (the two-time AA defending state champs). The LC head coach complimented our program's offense, and the LC coaching staff noted the JV and varsity liberos (Yay... Mikaela, Sofia, and Mimi).

The freshmen and varsity did awesome @ Centreville. A reporter (who we know well) sent his compliments.
Although missing key persons, JV is building momentum. Missing players will be back from vacations & illnesses soon!

Student-athletes finishing their Junior year and intend to enroll and play in an NCAA D-I or D-II school, need to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
